Krentoraan on Linux: A User’s Guide 🐧

Krentoraan is not officially supported on Linux by the modlist’s creator, Alaxouche. However, with a few extra steps, the Wabbajack installation can be adapted to work successfully. This guide assumes you have a basic understanding of Linux and Mod Organizer 2 (MO2).

1. The Omni-Guide’s Installation Process

The process involves two main steps: first, installing Wabbajack via Proton, and then using the Omni-guide’s automation script to install the modpack itself.

Install Wabbajack: Follow the instructions in the Wabbajack via Proton Guide.
Install the Modpack: Once Wabbajack is installed, use the omni-guides.sh automation script to install the modpack.

Note: When you launch Mod Organizer 2 for the first time, an error from the Frame Gen Compatibility Checker may appear. This is expected on Linux. Simply click OK to dismiss the message and continue.

2. Configure Mod Organizer 2

In MO2, locate the executable dropdown menu (top right corner).
Change the selected launcher to Krentoraan Legacy.

3. Handling Frame Generation

The Frame Gen Compatibility Checker will give an error on Linux. Click OK whenever it appears. To enable frame generation at your own risk, enable the (ENB) ENB Frame Gen mod under section 16.1 ENBSERIES - Core Files in MO2.

4. Troubleshooting

Game Closes Immediately After Launch

In MO2, open the executable dropdown and select Edit.
Click + → Add from file…
Navigate to your modpack’s Game Root folder, select SkyrimSELauncher.exe, click Open → OK.
Select the newly added SkyrimSELauncher and click Run.
The vanilla launcher will open and select a graphics preset. Close it.
Change the MO2 executable back to Krentoraan Legacy.

5. Enjoy Krentoraan on Linux! 🎉

Ce guide suppose que vous avez une compréhension basique de Linux et de Mod Organizer 2 (MO2).

1. Processus d’Installation du Guide Omni

Le processus implique deux étapes principales : d’abord installer Wabbajack via Proton, puis utiliser le script d’automatisation du guide Omni.

Dans MO2, trouvez le menu déroulant des exécutables (coin supérieur droit).
Changez le lanceur sélectionné pour Krentoraan Legacy.

3. Gestion de la Génération de Frames

Le Frame Gen Compatibility Checker donnera une erreur sur Linux. Cliquez sur OK à chaque fois. Pour activer la génération de frames à vos risques, activez le mod (ENB) ENB Frame Gen dans la section 16.1 ENBSERIES - Core Files de MO2.

4. Dépannage

Le Jeu Se Ferme Immédiatement Après le Lancement

Dans MO2, ouvrez le menu déroulant des exécutables → Modifier.
Cliquez sur + → Ajouter depuis un fichier…
Naviguez vers le dossier Game Root de votre modpack, sélectionnez SkyrimSELauncher.exe, cliquez sur Ouvrir → OK.
Sélectionnez le nouveau SkyrimSELauncher et cliquez sur Exécuter.
Le lanceur vanilla s’ouvre et sélectionne un preset graphique. Fermez-le.
Remettez l’exécutable MO2 sur Krentoraan Legacy.

5. Profitez de Krentoraan sur Linux ! 🎉
